Africa Sun Launches winter promotion

Hotel group, African Sun, has launched its winter promotion with prices as low as US$105 double for a room. The promotion runs from May 28, to July 31, marking the off peak season in the country when there are low tourist numbers.

Two of African Sun’s hotels, Elephant Hills Resort and The Kingdom in Victoria Falls, will be open to the promotion on June 11 as the hotels are currently hosting delegates to the Common Market for East and Southern Africa (COMESA) summit which kicked off in the resort town on Wednesday.

Under the promotion, holiday makers will enjoy reduced rates which will cover dinner, bed and breakfast as well as complimentary soft drinks.

At the premier resort, Elephant Hills, customers will pay US41 for a single with a double room package going for US$145.

Rates at the world class The Kingdom in Victoria Falls, are US$5 lower at US$95 and US$140 respectively.

All three Holiday Inn Hotels located in Mutare, Bulawayo and Harare have the same rate at US$80 for a single package and US$105 for a double package.

City hotel, Monomotapa Crown Plaza, located in Harare is charging US$85 for a single and US$110 for a double package.

Some of the attractions for those taking part in the promotion include discounts on activities booked through Adventure Connections, for those opting for the Elephant Hills.

There is also a free access to the hotel gym for up to one hour and also complimentary accommodation for children traveling with their parents.

At The Kingdom At Victoria Falls, the customer enjoys a double casino voucher and beverages.

This promotion is expected to attract holiday makers during the off season and it is also a strategy to continue building a market on domestic tourism.
